Idea for a mod

Hi there mates. Iv been thinking about this mod for quite some time,

This mod would efect the daily food the crew needs, normaly the crew only need wheat and rum right? and theres 3 diffrent stages of how much to giv em,

why not make 3 or more stages of the quality of the food?

first stage would be wheat and rum,

secund may be ale and fruit,

third may be choclad and wine,

I know that this must be doabel,

Then i got a question, does the mod team have the skill to make a new sort of merchendise or is it even posseble??

I'm wondering what it would be like to give the crew more than plain old grog and grain. A couple pounds of chocolate would be worth more to me if it improved morale than if I simply sold it off.

What new sort of merchandice do you propose?

i dunno, bread? lol, more speficic fruits from the caribbean, mangos, melons ect,

hi iggly, yes, adding new merchandise is entirely possible - see the slavery mod which is available in hellangel's 'all' pack, but didn't end up in the build, in which slaves are added as a new commodity. it would also be easy to add different foods; you'd have to alter the interface to tell the crew which commodities to consume, and then change the daily crew update routine.

i don't see why it couldn't be added in... but i don't know why it was decided not to include it in the end. there could be some technical reason. it was probably `PC-ness` though (though they <i>did</i> include the rapers! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> )
