If someone is willing to teach me how to adjust the code and what files where, then I want to make some new items for trading, like more food for the crew, (like in Tortuga), fish, red meat, potatoes, salt, specific fruits, bread, biscuits, complete with weavels and most notably water, your crew would be drunk brainless and dihydrated without barrels of water. And gundpowder for your cannons. How do I adjust all this and pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease can someone teach or help me to make this possible. As this is something the game is really lacking.

There is someone already working on a mod like this, Cornish, perhaps you might offer him your suggestions - it's MuddyMonkey77.

As far as learning how to adjust the code &tc, the best place to start is in the PotC Modding WIKI. There are tutorials and "`how-to`" entries that should help:

Also take a look at the code yourself. You will see what makes the game work if you look in quests_reaction.c - and also in the dialogs...

Rite I had a look at adding some other items firstly, these were a bottle O'Strong Rum using the mixtures bottle model and pic. Does anyone know how to change the colour of the liquid inside or make new bottles? Secondly I made some Chart Journals using the pic for Rheims journal, except my chart journals werent for sale or able to be bought, Rheims journal was how is this so? i am confused as i followed the same instructions as i had done before for my pistol and sword. Although i used the items that give the extra skills this is the purpose of my chart journals, the charts up your sailing skills by 1 for each different type you buy there are three of them basic intermediate and advanced.

I then attempted adding more cargo by looking in the store folder and added the three cargos i wanted, water fish and red meat. These do not appear i followed the instructions for the items for the cargo, e.g. went to the cargo describe after adding the items to cargoinit file etc. how come these dont show? and then once they do how do i get them to be added to the crews consumption?
