Indestructible forts

It doesn't seem posible to destroy a fort unless its part of a mission. I have several stong ships, but when a go to attack the french fort its impossible to destroy. After some time a look through my spyglass, but the hull stays on 100%. It says in the manual that you can go and capture a fort anytime you want, but its seems indestructible. Is my game just stuffed up, or am I doing something wrong?

You have to aim at the cannons. Besically destroy all cannons and you get a boarding icon. It used to be easy to kill them with bombs, but now that they've been taken out. it'll be slightly difficult.

Alternatively, I'm not sure though, you could attack from land. For now you can do this only in Oxbay and Greenfort (?).

Also, make sure to upgrade your cannons. And prepare to spend hours.

When you just exited the lighthouse where the soldiers attacked you, you talked with danielle, you need to tell her that you need time for planning the attack, then talk with her again and then tell her you are ready, it's just a little bug!

Exactly which fort are you talking about?

If it is the Greenford Fort, then Bloody Captain is right, except for one thing, it is not a bug.

The nature of the main story line/quest requires Danielle to join you in the capture of Greenford by attacking the town by land.
