And there's nothing special about Blood beyond his starting quest, his home nation is England. I'd say he's much easier than the others, since they only start with a sloop and a couple hundred piasters, while Blood starts with a frigate and some 100,000 in cash. Not bad for a bunch of fetch quests and a fight or two.
Also, the ship is unique. You can sell it, but be aware that if you do, you will NEVER see another one like it.

Thanks. You say his home nation is England, but it says I have a 25,000 gold bounty on me from England. How long will that last?
And do you know about selling the ships? I captured an English sloop for instance and the shipyard in Bermuda only offered me like 300 gold for it. What's up with that?

Sadly, you're not giventhis info in the game. You can keep Blood English by doing one of two things: the first is to not kill more than two or three soldiers on the plantation breakout. Yes, it can be done. But you gotta be patient. If you do that, no bounty. If you get a bounty (which I'm guessing everyone who played Blood the first time did by wiping out the sorry plantation guards), you can wait until you're ready to buy off a diplomat and then start working for the English. I've done both. The first route is the easiest. Just don't slaughter the place, even if they deserve it.
