Is There somthing wrong with the FTP server?

If you read the thread dedicated to the FTP you would have seen that this is the case for both me and Pieter as well (so probably world wide)

It does pay to look at the other topics rather than just City of Abandoned Ships <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
Well ideally the ftp thread would be linked to in all modding forums. Just a thought. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Also, I can't connect to it either.

Pieter, Cap'n Drow and Thomas the Terror do have the power though.

I don't like double threads. How about we manage a general "Gameplay" and "Modding" forum with subforums for the various games.
Anyway, I REALLY recommend people to use the <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?act=Search&CODE=getnew" target="_blank">View New Posts</a> button at the top of the page.
Even if the general information is also on the CoAS forums, there's a good chance worthwhile stuff will pop up on the PotC ones.
I even recall one time when our CoAS members weren't reading "The Burning Brig", which is where sometimes forum announcements are made.

I didn't mean a double thread, just a single post in a locked thread with a link to the current thread in the other forum. But yeah, I suppose a more extensive restructuring wouldn't hurt. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Keith fixed the FTP! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
He'll soon be working on changing the name too, but for now it works. AAAND we didn't lose the files! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
I have asked him if he can make a seperate CoAS FTP, just to keep things organized in the future.

Seems like a needless complication to me. Can't we just put it in its own directory?
 
Right now it's called the "PotC Files FTP", which is going to be confusing, no?
Of course it's quite possible to just have a CoAS folder on the FTP instead.
 
Do people actually NOTICE the "Announcement: Public FTP Details for Modding *UPDATED 20th July*" at the top of all pages?
