i've uploaded a soundtrack to the FTP under PotC files, in the folder 'morgan's music files'. i'd want you guys to listen to it and consider if it's a good replacement for the jungle soundtrack. warning: it's pretty big due to high quality.

It sure sounds like the jungle!
But this song doesn't really make me think of a dangerous jungle, filled with greedy muggers and cursed skeletons..
It would really be nice in calmer, relaxing parts of the jungles.

Adiemus? That's a great track, but I don't think it really belongs in the game. It's more of a Celtic thing than anything else.

doesn't sound very celtic to me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> more like african, cos that's what it reminds me of.

Adiemus was composed by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. See <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adiemus" target="_blank">here</a> for more information. It really does have Celtic influences. I can see why you would think it sounds Africa, but it isn't African. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

To me it doesn't sound right, because it does sound Celtic to me. But I'm not stopping you from putting it in your game, of course. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

ugh. I GIVE UP! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> fine then, anyone want it in his game? i'll give it the right name and upload it in ogg format.

Perhaps.. if Pieter made a toggle for this song?
like Junglesound 0 or 1 in Buildsettings

dunno... a seperate music pack would be better, i think. i'm finishing one at the moment, although the actual finishing seems a long way off.

like Junglesound 0 or 1 in Buildsettings<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->Can be done, but really is it worth that much trouble? There's millions of different music tracks in existance that could be used. We can't put a toggle on every single one of them, can we? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

what's more, i think it could cause trouble with the music. too few soundtracks is bad, but too many is even worse, as it causes sound bugs. although, what if there would be a seperate music_aliases file and a seperate music folder, say, MUSIC2, and use the toggle to make the game choose either the original or the new music_aliases file. the new music_aliases file would look for the soundtracks in MUSIC2. i've tried it once, and it works, although i didn't make a toggle for it, but simply made the music_aliases file look for soundtracks in two seperate MUSIC folders. the only thing i don't know how to do is making the toggle.

In Build 14 Alpha 7 you can actually select your preferred sound pack in the Options menu. Courtesy of Pirate_KK. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Sure. If you can figure out how to. But it can be done. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

i think i'll manage. i have a knack for finding connections and meanings, when they're coded or riddled. if i put that soundtrack into a music pack, i'll put other soundtracks from enya in there as well.

i've put two other soundtracks in the same folder. i'd like you to take a look at those as well, especially 'a ghostly appearance', as i have no idea where it's from and i'd like to know. warning: the sound level's doing a little dodgy on that one. the other is one you'll probably immediatly recognise. it's really good for the ending of a battle or storm.

Well, you already got one fan <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
Hans Zimmer made some excellent music for the film, so it wouldn't be bad at all in the game imo.

the music pack i've almost finished replaces almost all the music by PotC music, if that's what you want. it's not prefect yet though. do you have any idea where a ghostly appearance is from?
