I was a big fan of Sea Dogs a really big one so please tell me is this game any good?
Where do I get patches to make it playable ? :) Does it feel like the old sea dogs and just give me few directions how to enjoy the game cuz the beginning and the fighting was very badly done?

P.S How do you defeat those 2 in the tutorial I run out of energy every time.

Please point me out to patches and maybe mods to make it enjoyable i really want to enjoy it

p.s i saw there are 2 patches but do they work only for the russian version?

Ahoy toshev, welcome aboard mate! This game is very much worth playing, and it is very enjoyable! Seaward did an excellent job of packing this game full of content. I have been playing for over a year and I have yet to experience everything.

I was a big fan of Sea Dogs myself, but this game is NOT Sea Dogs, the game is based on a very much improved version of the engine, but the gameplay is almost completely different. Sailing is very similar to Sea Dogs, but swordplay is completely different. Sea Dogs had more of a rhythm to the swordplay, but CoAS has a much more realistic feel once you get used to it.

If you did not play the first Pirates of the Caribbean(was originally supposed to be Sea Dogs II), or Age of Pirates, you will have a very tough time starting out with this one as Peter Blood. Even on relatively easy settings, the Peter Blood story line is a tough one with a very steep learning curve! I would suggest that you start the game playing either as Ian Stance or Diego Espinoza, at least till you get more of a feel for the game. The tutorials for those two are a bit different than the one for Peter Blood, and they go into a bit more detail. Unlike Sea Dogs, your characters experience plays a major part in what ships you are able to sail, and what weapons you are able to use. If you try sailing a ship above your current skill level, all of your other skills will suffer a major negative penalty, even while you are on land. In other words, don't try sailing a frigate when you have the skills to sail a sloop.

If you are playing the English version of the game, then you don't need the official Russian patches, they were included in the English version. I would also recommend not installing any our mods until you become a bit more familiar with how the game works. Our mods add a great deal to the game and fix some of the bugs, but I do highly recommend just playing the stock version first.

Yes, I agree, tutorial could be better, but it does give a feel of game mechanics... Anyway, when fighting more opponents, keep an eye on blue bar, if it get's too low start blocking so you recover - you'll still get hit with that overhead strike tho.

If you started on the ship (not as P.Blood), those 2 sailors you get to fight as part of tutorial can be quite difficult to beat sometimes, especially if you're just starting, and it is a bit harder fight than you'll encounter in game soon after start (unless you piss off guards, or try to board galleon with your sloop)... But, there's one good thing about this tutorial, you can pass or fail it doesn't matter really, as game will continue :D
