Does anyone know where one can download Scheffnow's Dialogmerger tool? I'd like to include a link to it in a questwriting tutorial.

Hi CCC, his original link doesn't werk anymore, suprised te hear there no referance to it in the tutorials, hopefully someone here has it <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I have it, though not here with me at the moment I'm afraid... tomorrow at the soonest if you'd like it uploaded to the FTP?

Since Scheffnow is not here, I think we need to ask him if he'd mind if we put this out for the public. The last time I tried to do this he (quite rightly) asked that I take the link down as he was working on a new version and wanted to control the release. Let's wait for an answer from Scheffnow before we do anything like put it up on the FTP. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Maybe if we're lucky, he's finished his new version, which he said would be able to merge and UNmerge dialog. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

"Unmerging" creates a character_dialog.h file and unburdens the character_dialog.c file of extraneous code - I think it might make things run a little smoother in the dialogs. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Besides that I think the texts were originally moved out into .h files to make translation easier.

I have to support that is said by Inez.

If i look into the origin of those #include preprocessor instruction in c/c++, i think when that c file is processed, the content of the h files is simply copied to the c files.
And for different languages you have to take different h files only.<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Makes sense to me! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
