Where can i get the loading screen pictures? I really want the old guy with the chest & a mouthful of sword for my wallpaper?

Uhm... what exactly are you talking about...?
At what point is that loading screen used in which game (PotC?)?
Is it in any of the modpacks?

Ah; that one. I don't know where the image came from, truth be told.
You could convert the actual ingame one for use as desktop, but you do then keep the text on it.

Was hoping someone might know where the original pic came from or how to extract it from the game....but thnx for the reply anyway guys.Been trying to find some really cool pirate wallpapers but not finding anything that i really like.....guess i'm still lookin !

You can extract the one from the game. It's in RSOURCE\Textures\Loading.
Use the TX Converter (available from the Downloads section of this site) to convert to TGA.
Then you can convert that to, say, JPG with an image editing program.
