When someone mentions "Wicked Wench", the first thing that comes into mind is this design:
While a very pretty take on it, I can't help but notice that it is far from how the Wench is described in The Price of Freedom.
This is the description of the Wicked Wench according to The Price of Freedom:
So some months back I've taken the liberty of trying to create a "lore accurate" Wicked Wench design. Here are some ideas I came up with:
For the hull colours, I took inspiration from most depictions of the typical East Indiamen to feel in the gaps
A darker shade I came up with, plus a fun Disneyland variant!
Keeping true to the description in the novel, the Wicked Wench 14 guns and 3 swivels instead of the Pearl's 32.
As the events in the novel take place before Curse of the Black Pearl, I also feel that the Wench's rigging should be similar to the Pearl's in that movie.
I'm not saying my interpretation of the Wench is 100% correct. Information is still rather vague. But I thought it would be a more faithful interpretation than the brown and white one. Thoughts? Anyone up to recreate the design and livery for BNH?
