Best advice is to trace how a simple quest like Rys Bloom, or the Blacques, works, via character init, dialog, and quests_reaction cases.ParrotJack

Well that sounds promising! I hope that it turns out okay.
I have a few quest ideas meself, but Im too weak a modder to do them, plus Ill be chucked into a storm by my dad for screwing up the computer. I can write dialogues, though, and design the settings on a piece of paper with a pencil, but I cant put them into the game without killing my computer. Ill take a while to finish writing the things down etc. so nobody hold their breath. Well, this is a big thing im thinking of. I cant really mod myself. I could only ever do the simple things in the stock, like change the name, money and ship you start off with, but that was about it.

I can write the dialogue, use the music and design the characters, but its just putting them into the game.
