the level with the digging, the same level with the central pool.

Originally I couldn't talk to the dead monks.
Yesterday I could.

On this same level.

Structural difference:
day 1 -> in through the sewers
day 2 -> in through the Town Abby completely bypassing the sewers.
 
That you sometimes can't talk to the former monks is not intentional, and I don't know why that sometimes happens. I occaisionally have that in other parts of the game as well. My best guess is that certain events (too much fighting or grouprelation changes) block the dialogfunction.
A locationchange seems to reset that (as all general relations are reset after every location change). Saving and reloading may have the same resetting effect.

polite, aren't they? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> i've seen them sheathe their swords when i started talking to one of them. that's certainly usefull. but the best choice would be to wait until you've killed all of them, and then start talking to them. you could be in for a nasty surprise which you certainly can't use when you are surrounded by enemies.

They sheath their swords? That's odd. I never saw that while testing it. I once tried to code that in and failed.
In any case: Aren't new knights generated when the old ones die? Just like in the dungeons?
 
dunno. haven't ad the chance to try yet. but i'm pretty bored lately, so i'll go in there soon.
 
I think that that maltese abby for aop is cool, but i can`t code new monsters, AND there is nothing you can get there, you can `t loot and can`t take items from an abby.
 
bit of a lame correction, but you take the items from the crypt, not the abbey. but i guess that doesn't make a difference. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

by the way: enemies DON'T respawn in the douwesen caves.
