Since Maya 4.5 is an older version of this modeling software, you might find it (inexpensively) on eBay or at a computer swap meet...

Otherwise, I'm not sure. There are the file sharing networks, but if you download something from them for evaluation, if you do not plan to buy it you SHOULD delete it after your evaluation...

BTW, make sure that if you plan to use this for modding PotC, you cannot use the `Akella-made` plugins with Maya 4.5 PLE, it has to be the PRO version...

actualy I use Maya 6.0 PLE and it was not possible to make .gm.

Do you now where I could find a plugin to import and make VRML (.wrl) with maya 6.0 PLE.

Don't know about any plugins for the PLE at all - they have to be compiled specifically for the PLE. If any exist (for any format at all) I, too, would like to know about it.
What can the version you have export ? If it could write any of the common 3D formats (3DS, obj, max, dxf etc.) you'd probably be able to find a program to convert that to vrml. But as far as I remember the PLE is very limited in that respect.

I see. Maya 6.0 can make .obj but Maya PLE can only make .mp.
