Minimap is too small when sailing

Hi,

I just install build version 13 release 3. The only problem I encounter when trying to playing the game is that the minimap, when sailing, is so small that I can never say if a boat is close enough to shoot at or not. Is there a way to have a bigger minimap (as in the original game) ?

i think it has something to do with the buildsettings, but i'm not sure. i think you can configure it in the options menu. there IS a toggle for it somewhere. i'm sure i toggled it somehow. however, i DO now for certain that this can be solved by setting the resolution of the game lower, as well as that of your screen.

You should select "Options" button on the starting screen, then "Sailing Mode" button. After that you should be able to press button "Old looking status-radar". That should restore original radar.

to zoom in/out on the minimap

its the e/f buttons

unless you mean that the minimap itself is too small to see

then reduce your game's screen resolution.

It has do the trick. Thank you very much. I have play a little with the option, and I just can't figure what this one does.

Another question. In the interface options, there is an "additionnal" button. Clicking on it does'nt seem to change anything. What is he made for ?

If I copy the english dialog file (located in the Program/dialogs/english folder) in the programs/dialogs/french folder, can I use the french option ? Text will of course still be in english, but i can hope of translate them a day or another.

Additional button does nothing. Some day perhaps, but not right now.

Should work with your French suggestion. Be sure to PM a simple virtual sailor. He is/was actually working on translating Build 13 to French and he got a whole bunch of files done.
