Being new to this Build stuff, is the Nathaniel Hawk storyline on the Build same as the stock version? If it's changed, is it worth playing it considering I've completed the stock version?

It's pretty much the same as in the stock game. There's some slight changes for improved enjoyment,
but if you recently played the original game, I'd recommend trying one of the other storylines instead.
Recommended ones:
- Bartolomeu o Portugues
- Assassin
- Horatio Hornblower
- Jack Sparrow

The other storylines are largely unfinished, but the ones listed above provide a LOT of gameplay.

Did you get Build 14 Beta 1 Patch 1? That does come recommended.

Well, amazingly, my friend is finally downloading Build 14 Full. I've got Patch 1 ready. I'll download Patch 2 as well (unless you say not to :onya ).

It stands for 'Work in Progress' files, in other words unfinished, and therefore not 100% stable just yet.
So download it if you're happy to try it out! Otherwise, just go with Patch 1.

NOTE: Don't forget to run 'Rename.bat' (like I did, lol :facepalm ) in the main game folder once installed, otherwise a few things won't appear. So it's very important!
 
Patch 1 does not have a runme.bat (as I compiled it) but most of them do and as EC says it is important to run it :yes

Anyway, I think Patch 2 is pretty stable; it's just got some additional ship balancing that we haven't been using very long yet.
Therefore there could still be some side-effects from that which we'd need to find and address.
Also I put in the Capsizing code, which is very much experimental and might make for some frustration.
But since I set the limit at 15 degrees, which doesn't happen very frequently, it shouldn't cause TOO much trouble.
