Anyone on here ever tried Mount & Blade?
The game is described on the developer's website, <a href="http://www.taleworlds.com/index.html" target="_blank">http://www.taleworlds.com/index.html</a> , as:
"Mount&Blade places you in a dynamic world alive with action and detail. NPC groups in this world are continuously active, journeying, looking for enemies and engaging in battles with each other, whether you are there to see them or not. It is, in a way, a very real world. Events unfold and some quests are resolved through the world's own dynamics."
I find the game insanely addictive, although I don't play it for long stints as I've got no way of getting anything other than the limited demo version - which, by the way, can be purchased online.
The game's due out in stores sometime around May through Paradox Interactive, apparently for the retail price of $50 (if you ask me, that's just a little too high for the game in its current state, although there's supposed to be a lot more added before the retail release, so who knows?). I've been playing since v.751, and the changes I've seen have been enormous. I know I'll be buying it! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

The modding community's grown quite big, with a pirate mod that's been around for quite some time <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

There is NOTHING in this game that beats skewering some poor sucker with a lance, then launching the still-screaming twit 20 feet through the air! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
