Mouse Cursor flickers, goes invisible when still

Got the game on Tuesday, everthing seems to work fine, except the mouse cursor flickers when it moves and turns invisible when not moving. It's not fatal but friggin' annoyin!!!

(The same thing happened on Age of Mythology, I was told to change a document for my graphics card - I'm not computer savvy - I changed a 1 to 0, something like that, it worked. I can't find any graphic card files in the Pirates Diectory though.)

Maybe the lifetime of your mouse is over. They are not so expensive nowerdays. I don't think the mouse is the problem, I've tried it with 2 other mice, same problem!

Other applications / software works fine with yer mouse? Does these problems only accure in the two mentioned games? All drivers up to date? There could be several reasons why this still happens.

The mouse works fine with everything, even Age of Mythology now that I changed a file (can't remember what I did, something to do with a Graphics card file, changed a 1 to 0 or something)

It's only in Pirates it does the flicker thing! (Everthing else in the game seems to work, videos run great. no crashes etc)
