Hi
I am on mobile broadband here in the uk. I am having difficulty downloading the build 13 which is about 300 odd mb.
Not so much a speed issue, more a data allowance problem. I really want to get the 14 beta, but at 1.5 gig, it is half my monthly data package.
Also just downloaded the b14 lite. No problems normally when downloading, but I can't get the b13 to move. Page sits loading for ages, then says can't find the server here,
or taking too long to load, and times out.
Am I missing something?

Well if you have a limit of only a couple of GB I would suggest going the long way around
- Build 13 FULL
- Build 14 Alpha 9 FULL
- Build 14 Alpha 9.5 Patch 4
- Build 14 Alpha 10 LIGHT
- Build 14 Beta 1 LIGHT

This way your biggest download would be 700mb (I think thats the size of Alpha 9) but it would take you a fair while to do it if you can only download one or two a month :(
 
If you have a computer that is capable of a Wi-fi connection, you might be able to find a free access point that will let you connect and download it. THIS page has some good info on free European Wi-Fi links to try.
 
If the Build 13 download won't load, have you tried another mirror?
We've got it hosted on PiratesAhoy! but it's also on the ModDB.
If the one link doesn't work, you can try the other.

Also, you could find a download manager program on the internet that allows you to pause and resume downloads.
That way you could download, say, half the file this month and half the file the next month.
It'll take a while, but trust me when I say it's worth it.
Alternatively, do as Thagarr suggests and try and download it elsewhere.

I would not recommend doing what Captain Maggee suggests for two reasons.
Firstly, the installation would require many steps, so there's a big chance of making a mistake and things going wrong.
However, more importantly, although you ARE downloading smaller files,
the total size that you download is bigger than Build 14 Beta 1 Full.
In fact, if you want to download as few MBs as possible and do not already have Build 14 Alpha 10 installer,
Build 14 Beta 1 Full is actually the most size-efficient download, even though it IS friggin' huge.

I didn't come in yesterday after I posted, because in the interim, I managed to get the b13 down and installed and working. Must have been signal drop again. Homebased all the time, mobile not an option unfortunately.
I am running Win 7 x64 and all my programs go into their natural folders. However when I tried to run b14 lite, it couldn't find any of my files when I setup the game to run from my games folder, on c drive.
Although I don't think it will run on this thing anyway. Need to upgrade hardware.
Saying that, b13 is good enough for now.
 
What do you mean with "Build 14 Alpha could't find your files"? :?

I thought it was about time that I gave an update to my lack of participation on the forum. I have downloaded both the POTC NH build 14 BETA and all the other files using my mates connection.
Went over to his with a dvd and just downloaded them. Took them home and installed them. POTC and AOP CT.
Apart from a few little niggles and glitches, everything is running ok.
Thank you all for the help and now the game is running, if I have any or find any bugs, I will report them.
