need some help with a skin

So I wanted one of the new British soldiers from XVMs skin pack with a black goatee, as i have one myself. So... I read the tutorial, and did it. I actually got it working. The only thing Im having a problem with is this. I created the 3 portraits, but I dont know what file to edit and where to add the portirats to the skin. Can someone give me some (explicit) detai? I looked in the tutorial, and thats the only part Im missing. Im tired of seeing myself in a bathrobe in the portirat area.

if you have Kieron's latest mods, you need to add an entry to questsfacemaker.c, otherwise questsquests_reaction.c
The function you want is Facemaker (or actually the function it calls); just add a new entry like the others, but pointing to your new model and new portrait number.

Ok, I know this is just modifying XVMs work, so its not THAT great. But what I am amazed at, is how easy it is to modify this game. I wanted to use XVMs new british skins, but they were all blond haired nancy boys. I wanted an outfit that looked like a privateer turned captian. And as I have a goatee myself, I wanted one on my character.

What are you using as an image editor?

Just a suggestion, see how your portrait is different from the others? Take an existing portrait with the frame and paste your portrait into it...
