OMG, my jaw just went through the floor!
i want the whole set, ensign and ship!
where on earth did that ship come from?
i love the ensign, i've been wondering when that ensign would show up, been wanting it for my ships.
the ship is beautiful as well, if anyone knows how to get it,please tell me because i'd love to get hold of it, especially if its recoloured to nelson's ship's colours, but even if not, i still would like the ship.
 
Where did that screenshot come from anyway?
Maybe it is something that was made for the Russian SLiB mod? Or maybe it was supposed to be in the final gmae, but neevr was added? We've seen screenshot before of stuff that never made it into the game, including a nice location with a bridge over a little river in the jungle.
 
i'm sure it wasn't in the stock game, look at the character/ship icons in the lower left corner, it shows a frigate picture where these ships should have their own pics.
the question is: what mod is it? is it the SLiB mod? if it is, will they let us have it? is there a Man-Of-War version?
i hope the answers to those questions are: yes <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />.
p.s, what's up with the mizzen mast[i think] being missing?
i wonder why both those ships don't have them.

If my memory serves me correctly, that image was poated by Inzane over a year ago when he was said to be working on a 74 gun SoTL.

It came to naught.

its got past the size thing that chocolate bill had and it's in-game, so why isn't it up yet?
 
Because nobody but Inzane has the ship model, I suppose. Well, The pic looks cool. Like Lord Nelson said, I want it to be re-painted in the classic black/yellow ore. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> The bowspirit isn't there, but for all we know, someone here has finished it and is using the best ship (larger than a frigate.) ever, and they haven't even told us, nor uploaded it. If it is indeed a mod for another game, (which I doubt, looking at the HUD.) we must find it and make it avaliable to one and all. Everyone, loose those stun'sls and tear through the forums, guns blazing in the search for the lost seventy-fours! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
 
The model is made by Inzane, he have not been on the forums for a long time as far as I know. He dropped the SotL because it was too high poly...
He was also working on the HMS Surprise and got it ingame, as far as I know it worked as it should, he just haven't released it.
 
does anyone know where the last of his posts are? if i can get his e-mail or something i can try to contact him, that is if no one else already has.
 
Lord Nelson, I think the search is over. I downloaded the Ship-o-the-Line and the JMV skinpack off thje ftp server. Here's a screenshot taken by yours truely of Commodore Richard Bolitho and his two-decker, the HMS <i>Lysander</i>.

Now we just need to work on getting the gaff/boom rigged driver sail bent to the mizzen!

Perhaps someone with the tools and abilites could re-paint a battleship with the Manowar3_44 scheme and rig it with an ensign mast! *ahem* *wink* *wink* Whats the battleship mount? 70 cannon? Perfect third rate.
Then we can re-paint the Manowar3_44 with 3 gundecks... like the <i>Victory</i>. *elbows Lord Nelson*

am i seeing things or is the bowsprit mast on your ship different to the NORMAL Man Of War?

i'm gonna have a VERY hard time trying to keep away from my PC during the school week knowing that this is downloadable. an idea for the modders: is there a way to make the game put HMS to english warship names?
@petros: could you make a new 3 deck black/ yellow ore skin for the MOW, the new one? i loved the ship of the line you made, but being a british naval fan, i like black/ yellow ore.

The reasearcher avatar is there because that skin is the brtcpt1_18 skin from the JMV skinpack. I took out all the files I needed and put them in their respectave folders. I just didn't put the skins portrait in the folder. (I'm lazy... lol) Your masts are correct. The bowspirit is different!
 
i thought that the JMV skinpack didn't work too well with the latest modpack, or has Pieter Boelen already updated it in the FTP?
he said he'd put it on his site, but if its in the FTP and works without any problems then hooray!, but it would be nice if pieter would upload it if he hasen't, just in case.
