new brothel characters

her i downloaded the new brothel character textures and it only came with one file, no readme and i wanted to know where to put it in the potc game files. any help appreciated.

I think it might be more involved than that. When I downloaded them a read me was included that expained how to do it. As I recall it involved some editing etc.

jason, if you had a readme that came with it, could you paste it here?also what worried me, when i downloaded it, it said "Brothel Characters.RAR" and its a file with the little windows flag icon and i cant open it and see the contents. and i got it from this site so i dunno whats goin on

Here you go.

It is in rar file as "BROTHEL SKINS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

These instructions are for installing skins to Verruckts Brothel mod.

NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST BUILD 10.0 OF THE POTC MOD OR VERRUCKTS QC_BROTHEL INSTALLED FOR THIS TO WORK. YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO START A NEW GAME .

1)Place all the textures in C:program FilesBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanRESOURCETexturesCharacters. You can open them with texConverter and improve them. These are mostly unfinished however they still look good !

1) Go To C:program FilesBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanRESOURCEMODELSCharacters. Make 3 Copies of the model Danielle.gm and rename them to Nudegirl1 , Nudegirl2, Nudegirl3. (You can really name them anything you want but it helps to name them the same as the tga.tx).

Do the same for Liza.gm - name that to Yve2.gm or any name that takes your fancy

and make a copy of towngirl17.gm (Bartender in QC_Brothel), name her to say Bartender.gm

Remember all the names you have provided!

Because you will now have to fire up a hexeditor to change the textures the models point to. These are the following changes you will need to make for each model:

Nudegirl1.gm -> Nudegrl1.tga (Notice there is no i)
Nudegirl2.gm -> Nudegrl2.tga
Nudegirl3.gm -> Nudegrl3.tga
Yve2.gm -> Yve2.tga
Bartender.gm -> towngirl8.tga

Now that part is done you will have to go to

C:program FilesBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanPROGRAMCharactersinitQuebradasCostillas.c

Go 3/4 of the way down to Verruckt's QC_Brothel and either change the ch.model to the your new models:
i.e. ch.model = "nudegirl2";
or add new girls by simply copying and pasting the whole block of code for that character and using the new model names. Play around with th locations too , it just makes 'em start of at different places and walk around.

You will have to start a new game for it to work!
hopefully if I haven't given you the bum steer things will turn out alright, `E-mail` or post on the forums if things don't work. One debug you might want to look at is upper/lowercase letters when you edited the texture names in the model with the hexeditor , the names must be exactly like the names on the *.tga.tx.
