New Character at the pirate settlement

Ahoy!
Sorry if there was a topic about this already i haven't found it.
I'm pretty new to this game.
After installing the game and the modpack v3 here i've created a new character only to find out that i cant get out of the Bermuda pirate settlement's bay.
I get onboard the ship then try to get past the rocks but it seems there is an invisible wall that blocks me from goin anywhere.
Can someone help me out or explain how could i get out of there?

Use the world map to get past them, I think this is required to get out of Bermuda bay

Thanks, it seems there was a "Sail to" option in one of the menus, the only way out in fact, now back to the waters.

Is there any reason for that block? It doesn't sound like it makes sense to me.

I remember in PotC around Redmond/Jamaica there's one spot where it's quite hard to sail through with all the rocks. However, I once had the game generate new collision detection and that allowed you to sail through very easily. I restored that back to what it was originally because it wasn't impossible, just intentionally hard, but it's still a neat trick.

If I recall, it was a simple matter of removing the relevant two files from RESOURCE\foam\islands . Then next time you visit that island, loading will take a while as the game generates new foam and collision detection. Try to sail through after doing that and see if it works.

I've never actually tried to sail out of Bermuda in Sail mode, but I know that you can't get out in the world map. I generally use the "sail to" option to go to one of the two bays in range of the port and go from there. I'll have to have a look later today at getting out via sail mode, and what can be done to fix it if there is a problem (starting with Pieter's idea)

Yeah, I know for sure that the world map blocks you in (or out). I don't know for sure if you can sail out of it or not, as I have never tried. I'll be checking on it this afternoon, if I have time. either way, it's easy enough to just use "sail to" to get out. I suppose if there was a consensus that it was in the way I could look into removing it from the world map, but personally it has never been an issue.

It really is only a little annoying. I kinda like it there tho. Its funny everyone and a while to get a battle going in there too. The enemy is usually pretty good about not smashing into the rocks, and makes a real fun game of cat and mouse...

The answer is no you can't sail out i tried on the world map and in sail mode too before posting here.
In fact the invisible wall is there no matter what. If there is a hole somewhere in it then that is probably unnoticable in case you haven't rammed the "wall" on all its lenght.

It is possible to sail out in sail mode...at least from what I remember - usually i do it only when wind is nice and strong.

When you exit the settlement bay, sail north...and within few minutes you should be out of the "rock barricade" on world map. Sailing to the west/south-west will make you hit the invisible wall.
