Since my Dad works in the construction industry, which shed 44,000 jobs in '08, we'll be moving some time this year to a town at least an hour out of Edmonton in hopes of finding a cheaper place to live. That is, if the house will even sell - if it drops a little more in value, it'll be at what my parents paid for it. Renting in this province is out of the question, as it's cheaper to own. Of the 8 major construction projects that were running at the start of last year, only 1 hasn't been cancelled or put on hold.
