Hi there,

My name is Mandi. Pirates is great and I found a site providing mods. I can download them and then winzip opens but I don't know what to do from there. Can somebody please give me some advice.

You should extract them on top of your PotC installation.

From memory the Build 12 that I downloaded, installed itself to a slightly different folder name than my stock POTC, so I had to transfer those files into my POTC folder thus overwriting the stock game. When extracting the Mod Pack files you'll need to do much the same thing... once extracted into their own folders, move them into your POTC file to overwrite the previous files. Alternatively, you can direct the extraction to target the POTC folder directly. Throughout this process the PROGRAM, RESOURCES and MODULES files will be updated and you'll also get a few new things like a Build Info folder full of Read Me Files about all the mods, and Tools folder with A Mod Helper.

Make sure you update in the order Pieter mentions in the previous post.

To Jack: A previous version of the Build 12.1 full installer indeed pointed to the wrong directory. However, I fixed the installer file some time ago, so it shouldn't do that anymore. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

But I'm Sure she like the way Jack and Pieter help install the Build stuff ontop of that Sid Meiers classic BAHAHA.......Now thar would be a game to play!!!
