well, it's the joint for the pulley holding the rope to lift the main yard on the starboard side. the outer one of two sets on each side, that is. finding that on google is totally impossible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> searching for ARRRRRRRRRRRGH is kinda funny. you'll see why.

it's a large ship component which dissapeared at a certain point in history, but re-emerged later under a different name on the big clippers. i think the first word is spanish.
