The Wielkopolski is a breed of horse that was originated in Central and Western Poland in 1964.

This breed of horse played a major, yet uncredited role in the development of the American Mustang, Morgan, and American Standardbred breeds. It was also essentially the only breed used throughout the US Civil War.
