No stern chasers

I just got into a battle while sailing the RN_Warship, a 74 gun 3rd rate. It's not a bad ship except that the stern chasers will not fire. No damage, full crew and no stern chasers. I thought this problem was fixed over a year ago. I've looked at the GM and in shipsinit.c but can't see anything wrong.

Any suggestions?


Addendum: That ship has also lost all of its flags. Time to roll up the sleeves and get to work.

I think I've found the problem. The bow and stern chasers should have different directional locator coordinates, but they don't on RN_Warship.
What this means is that both sets of locators are pointing forwards, as opposed to the stern chasers doing the opposite.
Try changing the XX and ZZ values of the stern chasers to -1, and that should hopefully fix the problem.

I'm guessing you fixed the flags recently, after working on the French warships?

I worked on those ships before working on the frigates. I did a little rigging work, but since they had no stern chasers and I couldn't fix the spanker, I walked away from them. I will take a new look at them when I get back home.

Ok, I'm home again.

Looked into those chaser coordinates and changed them. I have one of those ships berthed somewhere and will relaunch it when I get a roundtoit. Those roundtoit's are hard to come by. I had one once, but it grew legs and walked away.



edit: The stern chasers now work on the one ship I have sailed so far. Why something so easy to fix went unfixed for years is a mystery to me.
