NPC HP error.

Well as I'm playing my way through the game I progress levels (duh) and I noticed that there were glitches as I got to higher levels around 40 or so, that the towns people who are usually about 80hp jump to 450+ hp, which amazed me as I was used to Blasting away with my pistol and killing everyone

The hit points for the bad guys are set depending on your character level and probably your luck skill. They're supposed to get higher as you gain levels. I think 450 HP would be about right for a level 40 character.

If you think that's bad, try boarding a ship. You'll see enemy hit points in the 700 to 1000 range. Good luck. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Yeah I've seen those hardouts with 700 hp, Fred Bob has more HP than me :'(

Wasn't there a way to increase ones HP by visiting an apothecary?

There is indeed. You have to find four weird medical items and then pay a visit to the Apothecary in Greenford.
