Ummmm... who remembers Heisenberg's principles from physics class? Let me geek out for a second. You can measure the location of an electron, or the speed of an electron, but not both, because when you measure one of them, you change the other.
What the heck am I talking about? Well... making a video shows the progress of the game. But you have to stop the progress of the game to make a video. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" /> So it's hard to keep the game development on schedule and show the game to fans at the same time.
Firaxis did a lot of gearing up to have stuff ready in time for E3. Barry and his crew are going to keep working to incorporate more graphics and scenes into the game in time for the beta program in August. And I'm on the road this week showing the game again (but privately, this time) to reporters who didn't make it to E3.
Nevertheless, I'll try to grab me some more screenshots, get them blessed, and then out and available to everyone here soon. In the meantime, look for some new goodies on the official Pirates! website in the not so distant future. (And sign up for Avast!)
Best,
Jeff Foley
