Pirates! Community Dilemma

I hope that one forum could be created instead of three.... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

We have three forum to post in, Pirates ahoy, Addicted to pirates and Cutlass Isle. It's basically the same people in the different forums just that we have to go through all three to read all intresting posts.

Whats your opinion about this?[/quote]

I agree <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> What about some other language sections? Like german <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />, french and spanish? That would be a useful addition.
I personaly post in 2 of these 3 forums. 2 are enough in my opinion.

Good point, but I doubt it'll ever happen. The problem I think is, in the world of fansite webmasters, the people at the helm are almost all alpha mailes. We all think we know how to do things better than the others and we all want to be in control. We actually don't really, we're just better at doing things our own way. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (hope that still makes sense)

There is a fortunate side though. There is definitely overlap in the three current forums, but each has its own special flavour/ambiance. It's hard to put words to what makes 'm different (other than the design) but everyone finds a place where he or she feels at home most. That doesn't mean you can't visit others, I visit all three if I have time (and a working password hehe) but there's one you consider home. Often the one you signed up first obviously.

So, there's room for more than one board. What's most important is that we all work together and that the rivalry remains friendly. I'm glad it is. There's competition, but we do so in a friendly and honourable way. Pretty cool if you ask me. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I'm glad it's friendly, too... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> No real need to fuss about things, if we can share. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

We have an "other languages" (than English) section here on PA... It's called "The Screaming Squid". You can discuss what you wish, in there, in whatever language you wish to post - and hopefully others who understand will reply...

Yeah this is a really nice community at PA! I like it.....
One of the things abour Pirates! is that like some old movies it has a cult following
