I just got the hottest thing around those waters a few days ago, and I'm impressed!
I'll have to admit that I was expecting little from a cartoonish `kiddie-styled` pirate game, and that may be why I am not too deceived.
Cool things:
-cartoonishly fun exagerated models
-privateering
-governor's daughters
-city raids and installing governors
-living and fluctuating economy
-sometimes hostile indians
-computer raids
-Jesuits
Bad things:
-RANKS! please go beat some sense into Sid Meier! Colonel and Major are NOT naval ranks, and nobility does NOT modify your uniform
they should have added ranks from Lieutenant to Admiral passing trough Commodore, rear and vice admiral at least or NOT giving any, for Pirates or Privateers do not have ranks other than 'captain'
-not very realist
-Where is the FEARSOME Captain Florent "Le Diable" D'Artois???
Overall a fun game with all the clichés of the genre, and no pretensions.
