Playing as Pirate

is anybody actualy playing as a pirate?
i thought of it but i realy couldn´t think of what to do as a pirate, except for just raiding other ships.
also i think the other pirates will still attack you, right?

so, anybody out there who loves to play pirate?!
please tell me why, what is interesting, what could it make worth trying?

if your flying the joly roger, then no, u wont be attacked by other pirates, however, ur an open target to all nations. i thought about playing as a pirate too, but in the end decided not to. it doesnt mean i wouldnt play with a bad reputation.

What you can do is to follow the pirate quest line through Morgan... the problem is the end is rather stupid and disappointing...
Besides once you start the Morgan quest line you may have problems with non-pirate nations specific quest lines.

I played as a pirate and it wasn't long before i was known as hostile to all nations, luckily that was in my mess around game, although its a mess around game no cheats have been used and my character's level is only 30 but he's hated by everyone but England where the merchjant will have nothing to do with me, i might loot a few cities because thats one thing i haven't done yet, i need to capture or buy a few Man O Wars first though, i'm using the Constitution (really nice ship, one of my favourites in the game) Once i've looted a few enemy towns i will stop playing as pirate and try to amend the bad relationships between myself and all hostile nations and play as a merchant for a while, i have 50 million so piasters isn't a problem.
