I'll start off by answering the most common questions first-

  • - Build 12 is cumulative. It can be installed over a stock (unmodded) installation of Pirates of the Caribbean.

    - Build 12 will upgrade Build `11-modded` installations.

    - The approximate <i>download</i> size of the core Build 12 files is 50 Mb. Installed size is approximately 120 Mb. Modem users, take heart. I'll explain how we've taken steps to accomodate you later in this post.

    - Build 12 will work work with Build 11 saved games. (Thank you, Nathan!)

    - <i>Unless you are starting a new game, you must reinitialize your saved game by hitting the "I" key.</i>

    - Build 12 can be uninstalled. Why you would want to do this is beyond me, but I editorialize...

    - Everything you could possibly want to know about Build 12 is contained in Sir Christopher's excellent readme file.


    • Now that we have that out of the way, here's how to install Build 12.
      • 1. Download the Build 12 installer to your workstation and launch.

        2. A series of screens will direct you through the installation process. Please read each one carefully to ensure a proper installation.

        3. At the "Optional Components" screen, select the components you wish to install. The Build 12 core files are checked by default. Please make certain that you've also checked the <b>Online Updates</b> component to ensure you have the latest patches. No worries if you forget to. You can `re-run` the installer at any time to install components you may have missed.

        4. Sit back, and make plans for your conquest of the Archipelago!


        • The installer has been optimized with modem users in mind. It automatically connects to the server and pulls down only the files that are required, and does so in small packages. This means that if you lose connectivity in the middle of the install, you can restart it without having to `re-download` the entire package. The installer will simply pick up where it left off.

          If you decide to uninstall Build 12, you can do so through the "Add or Remove Programs" applet in your Windows Control Panel.

Sorry I'm a new guy is this an update to PMT 11 or a totally different mod?
I can't seem to find PMT 11 link that work anywhere.

Build 12 has Build 11 built in, so if you get Build 12, you will also have Build 11. It can be installed over your older version of PotC or a clean new install and it should work just fine. If you have any questions or problems, just pop in here and we'll try to help!

Is there anyway to get the full build 12 pack? (just like the build 11)

I ask this, because my home computer doesn´t have a internet connection. Normally I would burn build 12 to my `cd-rw` and then install it to my home computer, but I cannot do it, cause the build 12 requires a internet connection for installation. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
 
Thar ain't no single file installation at de moment, though Fred Bob might consider lookin' into makin' one! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> However, dis be what ye do: Install Build 12 it tew an empty folder, zip it up, burn yer CD, an' ye be in bidness, matey! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

PS - Tew spoof de Build into thinkin' ye has PotC on board, set ye a Registry Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionApp PathsEngine.exe and set a value of a Path string. Make sure it be set tew de same path as yer empty folder. But don't do dis if'n ye ain't comfortable poking around yer Registry! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

Ye kin also make ye text file an' name it *.reg. Paste into it de following:
