potc:legency of jack sparrow

hi laddy's are you ready?? or did you already know when i read a (old) game magazine i saw on the release list that potc:legency of jack sparrow is in progress does anybody know more of this?? i like more info <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

heard of it, but don't know much about it.

I heard about it a while age. Its an ACTION/ADVENTURE game were you play as Jack Sparrow. Its not based on the movie, but on his life before the events that take place in POCT Curse of the Black Pearl. Its said to be open like the POCT game and many of the events in the game are mentioned in the movie (e.g- See if he really did sack Nassue Port without firing one shot). You can fight through heaps of different environments and unlock lots of knew fencing combo moves and different weapons. I hear you'll find burning buildings, ship wrecks and caves as you career around islands. It seems really cool to be put in the shoes of Jack Sparrow and to achieve and work through all he's done in his adventurous past.

Not to put anything pirate down, but it sounds like it will take a really kiddish type of game i reacon. Something like monter inc and so on and so forth. But i might be wrong.

Thats just my peice of eight.

Disney? Again?! Once the Mouse touches a game of this genre, 80% of the authenticity goes out the window. Then again, at least in the PotC game you get to <i>kill</i> people. I was so disappointed when Sid Meier (not Disney, but just as bad) shied away from bloodshed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

activision is not specialised in pirate games but it is in great 3d graphics

POTC : legency of Jack Sparrow should be out in July 06. On PC and Playstation 2 and X-box.

But POTC : Dead man chest shouldn't be on PC.

ARG to true, if only! And massive online feature, or just an online game! I do admit Sid meiers game seemed G rated, but kinda fun for some time, until u realize that ur doing the samething over and over again. I want more pirate games to be more ARG rated. Bit of rape and lass loving wouldnt go astray? would it?

And for god's sake, keep magic out of it!!! I'm kind of sick of seeing skeletons walk around, do tricks, and be unkillable. Been there, done that. Pirates are enough to make a great adventure without bells and whistles. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" /> But, of course, since we have to see how the compass was found and the pearl cursed, we are sure to see Rich Uncle Skeleton do his little dance. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ib012.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cry" border="0" alt="ib012.gif" /> That's what kind of miffs me about the upcomming movie too. Kieth Richards will make it kick butt anyway.
