POTC Questions

Hi all

A few questions that i am not quite sure about:

1.Is there gonna be any Bulids after Bulid 12?

2.What does Bulid 12.1 add i got 12.0 is it worth upgradeing?

3.Any more Islands planned ( I got POTC when it came out and peeps said they were gonna add things from the real caribeon and sea dogs someone even said "The world" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> which would have been nice but Engine limits came in

4.When are new ships comeing?

1.) There will ALLLLLWAYS be another Build. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> We modders can't stop tinkering. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

2.) 12.1 is just some bugfixes and small extras for 12.0, and if you start up your B12 installer program and check "Online updates" you will get the updates without having to download the whole program. It's a quick download, as it only replaces what you need to have replaced. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

3.) The PMT (separate from the modders here) are working hard on an expansion package for PotC that will have many new islands - but not "the world"...

4.) New ships come in slowly, lately. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> We used to have a lot of modelers here who were working on ships but they got busy elsewhere (like "real life") (whatever that means, LOL!) and so have not been around here as much - and probably have not finished their shipbuilding projects. Just keep following the threads here, and when there's a new upgrade to B12 (probably B12.2) (sometime soon, I hope), or any new ships to download, we'll let you know. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Is there any sort of Bulid `Web-site`?

Or where i can find a screenshot of new islands?

The new islands that are being done by the PMT are "under wraps" - the public (i.e., you and I) will not see them until they are ready to show us what they've been working on - and I'm guessing that won't be until they are ready to release their expansion package.

Currently the Build is hosted HERE on this website - and has nothing to do with the expansion package being done by the PMT. We don't have any new islands (yet, heh!) but we do have new locations you can visit, and are working on more.

Is there something specific you are hoping to find, lukemax?

Confirmation

I dont belive its possible, someone said time ago that you couldnt make the "Sea" area bigger!

BUT

I've modded games my self and seen modders break engine barriers which peeps belived IMPOSSIBLE!

Anyway i wanted to know if they would add the orignal sea dogs map would it have Jungle and ports caves and such, also would the towns be the same?

I honestly don't know. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> The PMT has been operating "behind closed doors" on this project, so we don't get much news except what they choose to tell us. Perhaps someone else (who is actually IN the PMT) can shed some light on this for you, but alas, I cannot.
