Problems with playing out the game to the end.

Hi, all. A few weeks ago I played this game with Build 12 and Modpack again. I was pretty far with the main storyline already and I can tell you not too far from the end. But because Clement Aurentinus didn´t appear in the jail after my conquering Greenfort and nobody was able help me anyhow I finished my playing and uninstalled all the game. This time I have installed all the game anew with the newest version of the Modpack but somehow I don´t taste for another playing because of these fatal bugs and because of many further new and even older games that I never manage to play because of the shortage of time . So, I would like to ask whether anybody was lately able to play out this game with Build 12 and Mod pack to the end. I am disapointed because despite of all the improvements including new interface and many other things if this game has so substantial bugs that can´t be finished so in this case it is losing somehow its merit and amusement at least for me. I like this game very much and for that reason my sadness is really big because I spent hundreds of hours of playing it in hope that once will be excellent or at least very good. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ib012.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cry" border="0" alt="ib012.gif" />
 
I played through the storyline only once, i couldn't start the whole thing over, so now i just playing with potc without starting the storyline. Im already a millionaire, and a vice admiral at the service of england, but still planning to be a pirate again. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate_plain.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p3" border="0" alt="pirate_plain.gif" /> So i have been playing around for let's say two or three weeks, without even starting the main quest, and the game is great! I suggest you to do the same, it will be more interesting (dividing the plunder, collecting the best weapons for the crew to use at boardings, getting more and more famous, killing everyone, who try to oppose me <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" /> ) It's like a new storyline, but will be always different, thanks to this modding community. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />
I remember when i started the game with this character, my ship was so damaged in the storm that i lost it, so i only got a tartana, and i used that for smuggling, to get enough money for a new ship. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> It was so much fun...And this game will be better and better. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I have been testing the post build 12 modpack but not beyond Aug 18 version.

First I played through, testing every side quest except the "missing Children" and they all worked without problems

Then I started a new game and without completing any side quests, managed to capture Greenford at level 15, and completed the game with the destruction of the Black Pearl at level 20.

Now I'm starting a new game and will include "missing Children" quest as well.

I agree with you that it is sad we haven't gotten these bugs fixed, and now we have new ones, but the game can be played through to the end ... I did it! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
I believe someone mentioned to me that he played the game through to the end using one of the most recent modpacks. However, he was unable to sink the Black Pearl in the end. I don't know why. But that would mean you can at least play it through almost in it's entirety. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
Yes; she's HIGHLY hard to sink. It should be possible to do, though. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I've recently completed the main quest to the end, during the course of which I've installed all updates so far. Yeah, there's bugs but, hey, I've got a much more interesting version of the game. Yep, the Black Pearl is hard to sink.... even with a MoW it's tough fighting the Pearl with a storm inflicting lightning strikes on you... but it can be done.

Hi, mates. Your answers takes me more optimistic.
