<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> all...
I have been toying with this idea for quite some time, and a topic about adding items to PotC reminded me of it...
I wanted to make a "lockpicking knife" - something you can buy (or maybe find) to boost your luck so you can open those pesky chests easier...
Of course it would not be legal to SELL something like this if you were an honest merchant... That would be like leaving the door to your house wide open when you are gone - so anyone could go in and take what they wanted...
That idea segued into making a "Sneaky Item Trader" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" /> - someone like that guy in QC who says, Pssst, c'mere... No, psst, over here... No, no, no... Over HERE! and never does anything? (LOL!) Only the trader would have items like a crowbar, lockpicking knife, stolen jewelry, swampland, fake Akellani idols, and other items of a dubious nature and value... I could make this guy pop up at random in places - so encountering him would be pure chance...
Some items he carries will obviously be not quite so desireable as the lockpicking knife (with the sharp edge you can cut your hand upon, ha!)... Some will reduce your luck or other skills... but some will be helpful, like the lockpicking knife...
So what do you think? Ideas, suggestions, comments? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" /> THANKS! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
