Does anyone have this game and can tell me about it? if you have the ps2 version thats ok too, ive read split reviews on the game so not sure if I want to buy it or not now.
 
Sounds intersting (I checked out the site), but since it's a `non-PC` game, that's the end of my interest. :cheers

I'm wondering if anyone will start up a Wild West MMORPG; I think that'd do well. :p:
 
Well I bought the game at Amazon so when i get it and play a while I'll update you guys on how it is. :d:
 
I got the game last night.

The music in the game is pretty good, gives it that authentic western feel, probably cause the music is taken from actuall `60-70`'s western movies.

The sound is alright, guns and whizeing bullets, atmostshpere isint bad either but with the bullets flying its hard to hear the wind blowing up the dirt.

Voices......Umm....they sound very cliche, dont expect any Hollywood style dialogs here, everyone is either a varmint or a yellabelly :dio

Controls are stright forward, I think anyone can pick it up in a matter of minutes, plus the first few levels give a sort of tutorial as to how to play.

Overall, from what ive played the game isint bad, its quite linear but shooting up all sorts of bandits is pretty fun, esspecially when you unlock the double pistols :p:

Check out this site http://www.frontier1859.com for a MMORPG Western game.
It is in the very early stages and I expect that it will be well over 1 year before it's even ready (if it gets that far)
I'll be keeping an eye on it myself as I've still got the old LucasArts Outlaws game that I dig out and play sometimes.

On the Xbox this game is a blast! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/guns.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2guns" border="0" alt="guns.gif" />
It is also less than half of its original price, ka -ching!

If you are a fan of the Clint Eastwood "Spaghetti Westerns" (like I am) you will enjoy this game; there is much shootin' and fightin' for a rootin' tootin' good time.
There's even a character called "Ugly Chris" who tend to fart at lot which only adds entertainment value in my book.

The only complaint I have is that when you are close enough to hit someone you have to be pointing right at them in order to hit them which doesn't seem to be a problem for the bad guys.

Every time I play this I am tempted to track down a PC copy of this game to see if any of the code in it could be adapted to POTC, because between the gunplay and fighting, (direction challenge notwithstanding) there are things in this game that modders are currently attempting to get into POTC.

I'd love to see what the modders could do with the moves in this game. The only thing that's missing is the swordfights, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" /> , one of the characters even has a whip! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

I am responding here to a question you asked in another forum, Lady Cat, yes, Lady Mings and her darn schoolwork are still monopolizing the computer.
