<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Can you read? I'm not complaining about difficulty, I'm complaining that the AI does not use the same set of rules that the player uses.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
...which I've told and shown you is an extremely common and time honored way of increasing difficulty, nevermind the fact that, as has been repeated several times, it <i>doesn't</i>. I really don't see the problem here, you don't want the AI to cheat, play on a level on which (it seems to you that) it doesn't. Is it really that difficult to grasp this?
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The first thing I did when after loading this game up was move that all the way to the left. Didn't seem to make much difference on the easy settings. But maybe for people like you, gaining a level every 2 fights seems like really slow, man. Eh?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Maybe you should try moving it in the other direction? Granted, it could do with an actual description of which way you're supposed to move it to increase or decrease the rate. But then I never needed it, so meh.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I have no idea what that means. I've never had the least bit of difficulty with the ship to ship combat in this game, on any setting<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Right, you can defeat a battleship with a lugger. Suuuuuuuure. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

I don't remember saying anything even remotely like that, but since you bring that up, yeah, that does seem fairly slow. In most RPGs I've played the first half a dozen levels are really quick, often to the point where you don't even have to use healing potions early on because you get the next level up (which in many games instantly heals you) before your hp is depleted. Anyone with even the slightest bit of experience at RPGs would know that this is just a grace period to allow you to familiarize yourself with the game.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Or does your uber self spend all his time making trade runs and carrying passengers? I suppose leveling might be pretty slow, if you only make points on navigation and trade, eh?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Actually trade is one of the easiest and fastest ways to make a few levels quickly, due to the fact that buying and selling large quantities of expensive goods raises the skill very fast. I had 100 trade while my other skills still languished around 40.

That's mister "OMFG you're complaining that NIGHTMARE is DIFFICULT!!!", if you please. And yeah, I'm quite content to play on Captain. I've seen plenty of pricks mock people for playing on a lower difficulty than them, but you're the first that does so while complaining that the high difficulty is too difficult for you. It's really <strike>hilarious</strike> laughable. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
