Ahoy mateys...
I have been so busy with testing the new build - now that it is released (YEA!), I wanted to take some time to work on my FB quest (GP, don't kill me, I'll get to the ship soon).
Here is a small synopsis for those who do not know I am doing this - Fred Bob, our Shrimpin' Fool, asked me if I could try to get a Sea Dogs character, Maurikio, into PotC. So after some trials, it worked out - and I got him into the game as a hireable quest officer.
Scenario: FB the bosun is being held on FdF for threatening to mutiny. The officer who ordered him arrested is the only one who thinks FB actually DID this - everyone else KNOWS he's innocent - but since the accusing officer has deep political connections, FB is in the stockade.
(there is no stockade on FdF, so I have him on "parole walk" on the second beach)
Nathaniel finds out about FB and gets him released. FB in his gratitude, gives N a letter he is carrying that says on the envelope that a reward will be given to the person who delivers the letter to a lady on IM.
Here is Fred Bob the bosun, and Doña Estrella de Alençar, the wife of the IM governor:
I created her from several different character skins... Pretty lady, hm?
So she is the recipient of the letter - N brings it to her and finds out that she is exchanging letters with a PIRATE, who is also her lover! (shocking!) This pirate is a former Chevalier of France, Armand Delacroix, and here he is - with a comparison pic of the model I altered to get my pirate:
You see he still wears some of his old uniform.
And I have made it so he is a "`no-quarter`-given" type of pirate, who sails in my "Voodoo Queen" MOW:
NO she is NOT available yet!!! (sorry!)
Fred Bob himself is working on FB's dialog so it is properly salty and fits the character. I am looking forward to seeing that in the game, as it will make FB the Bosun a truly unusual `quest-hired` officer. OH, and another feature of his character is that once FB is hired, he will have all the dialogs a regular `tavern-hired` officer will have (change clothes, hoist a different flag, &tc).
I've not quite worked out the rest of the quest yet, but it will come. Just wanted to give you an update...
