If someone feels like it... all sloop-o-war, light frigate, heavy frigate, brig, and seventy-four are pe-painted. The yellow ore color is now white.
Napoleonic era gaff/boom rigged driver sail on the mizzen mast!

Aye, the RN is the largest, greatest navy on this earth... but I am an American. I will not stray from the British Navy completely, the squadron is still the same, and I will fly the Union Jack while playing AoP. I just would like to be able to be myself and play as a patriot in PotC every now and then... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

the white stripes and slight sail changes shouldn't be any great hassle.
i'll have a play around at making a full rigged frigate in yankee colours for ya
 
i don't mind, im half British half Kuwaiti!
but you had me going for a while.
and i think it would be a good idea to add an America to the game, kinda puts me in the right time period.
but if anyone makes the new ship skins, could they make the British Royal Navy skins aswell

if anyone was going to make a mod with the US in the game it would probably be best to take out portugal and leave in the dutch since they where still around in the carribean when the yanks showed up.

got the skin mostly done just a couple of changes to the sails and she'll be just about ready for the high sea's

Looks fantastic mate! I really think that that will fit the bill! Now, we need a Star Spangled Banner flying from the mizzen. Captain Hawk, would ye mind putting a yank's ensign on her? May I suggest that you make the ensign a bit large, like 1/2 of the driver sail's height. Is there any way to put the ensign higher and closer to the gaff rather than centered? (Thats the upper spar on the driver.) Thankee!
I can't wait to see the sloop-o-war and light frigate! This Heavy frigate looks amazing! I'm sure that many English ships will turn tail and run when they see this on the horizon...

Just wondering... where is the spirit sail on the bowspirit?
 
Captain Spectre, could YOU make a HMS Victory skin for the silehard manowar? with three yellow ore lines going over the guns, and black on the rest?
the figurehead could stay the same if you could find a way to patch the old one on.
but on the bow decor.. you know the grill-like thing that supports the figurehead, their are some dark blue bits, those would give the ship more... character.

Come to think about it... you're right. I would have to say that Portugal is better to change than Holland.

We could have new skins, ships. Somehow toy round with the clock and set it to 1812-1814...
Give all the soldiers muskets rather than swords. (Unless they are an officer.)
American soldiers have the blue/buff uniform.

Sir, I respect you for your patriotisim. The Dutch will not be removed. Aye, the golden age of piracy was an exciting period. However, there are those who prefer the Napoleonic period, like Lord Nelson and myself.
 
but it doesn't mean that there will be an effect on the pirates, its just renaming the portugese colony from portugese to American, and maybe a modification of the town in it.
the pirates will still be as common and annoying as ever <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />.
 
I think the yanks are weak, lucky and lucky in war! dishonourable!, But hell they make the best movies and have brill fighting ships!

ok i like the age of sail and all but some of the jargon still hasn't made it into my head yet. which is the spirit sail? and if it's the one i'm thinking of( a mistyped spitsail) all thye info i could find had the big yankee frigates without them.if i'm wrong i can stck one back on easy enough.
 
You know what a bowspirit is? Its the mast protruding from the bows of a ship. Well, the spritsail is the spar fixed to the bowspirit, just aft of the dolphin striker. (The spar pointing down off the bowspirit.)

i was going to look at the skin for the silehard manowar and see what could be done with that but i'm planning on cutting down some of the current frigates to the 28-32 gun range to fall more into historical numbers of guns for them. more them likely try and stuff a couple into captains quarters aswell to give them the single deck of guns. to hte best of my knowledge it was only the big american frigates and then some later date UK ones that had the 44 gun lay out.

i was half thinking of making a topsail schooner aswell at some stage.

i'll put the file together and chuck it up very shortly. will post here what i end up calling it ok.

and isn't it great when you think to correct a typo with yet another typo lmao
 
ship uploaded to the new ftp. file is "frigateuss.zip" it has the ship foilder and texture in it.
