Hey everyone,
I just downloaded New Horizons for the first time a few days ago and I am loving the mod! Never played the original game, so I'm having lots of fun going through the main storyline and am hyped to play the 'Hoist the Colours' storyline.
I decided to try out RTX Remix to see if I could make any changes to the games graphics, and these are my results so far. This is all roughly ~30 minutes of work.
With Remix, we could remaster all the lighting, models and textures given enough time and dedication. Currently, I'm just focusing on getting it into a playable state, primarily trying to make the water actually look good.
Also, does anyone know which rendering pipeline the storm engine uses? Remix works best with a fixed function pipeline rather than a shader graphics pipeline.
