Has anyone else gotten the sailing through an island bug? The game froze up on me for a few minutes and finally when I was able to get out to the world map, all the ships in the game (except mine) simply ignored islands. It made the game much harder, trying to intercept that rascal Baron Raymundo, when his galleon could just turn tail and sail straight through the Dominican Republic. All my saved games for that career had the same bug. When I started a new career, this bug was gone.
