Hehe,
I've just found some new music. They are traditonal Sea Working Songs and Shantys, like "<i>Haul away, Joe</i>", " <i>Haul the Bowline</i>", "<i>Roll down the Cotton</i>" or "<i>Santy Anno</i>" sung by the sailors when a job of hauling on a line was expected to last a long time, hoisting topsails, for example. They were sung in a special rythm to sychronize the sailors movement when they drag the ropes. They were sung in A Capella (without any instruments).
They should work for the world map, too.
The songs sounds great but in my opinion it sounds a little strange (but surly realistic) when they played alone, so I try to mix the songs with the music from my "<b>Cutthroat Island Music Pack</b>". I try to reach that you hear the orchestral music during sailing and the singing crew softer in the background. But this a lot of work, I think.
Maybe it is easier with coding to play a second music file, but I don't know if it is possible to play two music files at the same time and I don't know anything of coding <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> so I have to do the long and complicated way.
But I hope the result will be fine, so maybe there will be a singing crew at the end. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
Maybe I have to release a new "Cutthroat Island Music Pack with singing Crew". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />
[edit]Bah, I tested it but the singing and the orchestral music didn't fit together. So I put the crew songs in seperatly without mixing them with CI Soundtrack. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dp_nogd.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ng" border="0" alt="dp_nogd.gif" /> [/edit]
