Nice job; that's a much more suitable texture! I've just tested it with the old interface pics, and they look fine with this new texture as well.

All I would say is the border looks a bit thin, and originally I thought the whole thing was too bright, but it looked fine in-game.
About the 'Blank ship' texture, I'm sure I could have a go at something better, but here's the dilemma: should it be the ship only, or the background as well?
If I use the standard screenshot method, then using the ship alone would cut off the underwater hull, making it look strange in interfaces where it stands alone (without the empty sea texture).
Conversely, if I include a background, then your new texture won't be visible anywhere (I think).

Also, should we decide on a 'generic' model to take the screenshot of? I could then desaturate the hull colours, like the current texture, to make it look 'blank'.
