Thought I would engage in a conversation with that monk pacing up and down near Fred Bob on Falaise and apparently he thought I was getting a bit lippy and clever over his feather/sword riddle so the bugger swiped my excellent Cardinal's Guard to teach me a lesson <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> - dammit !

That the guy that gives you the cross that doubles your health? I met him on Oxbay, at the beginning, he said "to release your burden, go to one of my order on redmond shore", I went there, and guess what, he didnt show! And I had to quit the game, to get lunch, and you cant save with one of those annoying crosses! I lost 3/4 of an hour on gaming time thanks to that guy.

I found the monk on another island the french named island....name escapes me right now. If you go back and talk to the monk a second time he tells you the right location. That part of the quest irritated me as well.....I ended up play for anther hour just find that little barnicle encrusted freak. Oh yea, the cross can also increase your combat skills OR your health. It's up to you, The answer to the question is the Zen one.....the one who wields the blade or the feather is the power, not the articals of which he speaks. He tells you the wrong location the 1st time. Heh. Yes, there's a bug in this sidequest, and the fellow who made it is unfortunately not around to help fix it. I'm not sure whether it ever got fixed by one of us (Nathan or CCC) but it has yet to make it to any Build or modpack... So don't play with those mysterious guys in those odd brownish robes and hoods...
