how do you extract them ontop of each other
that is the only problem i have i know how to do everything else

Just right click on the folder, click "Extract All".
Go to "Browse"
Choose the C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Pirates of the Caribbean
Then "OK"
It should extract on top of your game.

i did all of that and it still dosent work!!!

If you have a backup copy of the base game files, now is the time to use them.

Delete the Pirates of the Caribbean folder from your Bethseda Softworks folder.

Copy and paste your backup files, re-extract the Build 12 FIRST and the Post Build 12 SECOND.

Enjoy.

If you don't have a backup set of files, delete the Bethseda Softworks folder.

Uninstall the game and restart your pc.

Reinstall the game and restart the pc.

MAKE A COPY OF YOUR GAME BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN!

Then extract Build 12 FIRST and Post Build 12 SECOND!

Enjoy.

Are you extracting the Post Build 12 Mod into the stock POTC or did you download & install the 12.1 Build before attempting to install the Post Build 12 ?

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

i downloaded and installed the 12.1 build first, then the post build 12

i didnt have the POTC folder in my documents so i moved one there, i didnt extract the build12.1 i just ran it and it worked fine.
i extracted the post 12 build into the pirates of the caribbean folder and i tried to run the english thing that Pieter told me to do and it said files were missing.
that is what has happened to me so far.

Did you put just the B12 files in the POTC folder that is in your My Docs, or is the whole game there?

Ye might have put B12 there, run the English thing and it didn't find the game because it is somewhere else.
Savvy? I know this looks confusing...

Your POTC Folder should be in your Bethesda Folder which is in your Program Files.

It should be like this

<img src="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j67/SuoiveD01/SS/SS3.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

You download the Builds anywhere you want & unzip them into your POTC Folder.

it looks just like that but all i can do is extract the files there, it wont let me unzip them

how do you take a picture of your desktop so i can show you what mine looks like

Press the Print Scrn button. Next to F12.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

where do you find the pictures after that?

Well if you use Print Scrn button the go to your Paint Program & open it.
Click New, the click Edit, then scroll down & click Paste you will have your Screen shot.
You then save it as a .bmp.

Many people use many different Programs to convert bmp images to jpg.
I use IrfanView 3.98, it is so simple to use that my 8yr old son can use it.

Unzipping and extracting are the same things. Just make sure that you install PotC to the SAME folder where you unzip/extract Build 12.1 and the Post Build 12 mods. After unzipping/extracting Build 12.1 on top of your game, start the game and see if it runs and if anything is different.

you know what, im giving up on this i am just not going to figure it out no matter how much you explain it to me, i will live playing only with the build 12.1 mod because it seems to work fine even though IT is not in the PotC folder, so thanks anyway for all your help i really appreciated it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

As far as I was aware, we are playing with the Post build 12.1 Mod, only with a few Updates as well.

Have you added any of the Updates ?

When you try to unzip it does it look like this:
