Starting the Spanish G-G Quests

Whenever I attempt to start the Spanish Governor General Quests he claims I have connections with the Brotherhood of the Coast and that I would have conflicting interests...how do I get rid of my Pirate connections?

By starting a new game, I think there is a point where you can do a national quest when in the middle of the pirate quest but unsure

Two chances:
1) - start a new game and not go to Goodley in Puerto Principe
2) - continue this game until the 8th pirate quest (quest Linney); after quest of Linney , you are free to buy letters of marque and start the quest-line national (Spanish or others...).
After the quest-line national, you return by Morgan and participates to the attack in Panama.
