Suggestion for a Merchant mod that would really help me out

So I go to sell all these swords that I get during boarding actions. It takes FOREVER! There is a "sell all" option for ships. There is also a "Sell Booty" option for personal items. But this only sells treasure.


I want a button that will sell all my weapons and equipment, except what I have equipped. If its not equipped, I want to sell it.


Any suggestions on how to do this? Im a modder now right? *points to half assed reskin I did*.

That's an excellent suggestion.

The easiest way would be to use what is so far my one and only mod that sells all unequipped weapons along with some of the more useless booty when you use the Sell All button.

It is currently on the Pirates Ahoy FTP server here:

At the moment it's pretty basic as when I do get some free time I hope to be able to change it so that it makes it easier to change what is and isn't sold.

Good idea, that. I`ve resorted to simply disabling the sword collecting instead. There`s a toggle in <b>BuildSettings.h</b>

We've been talking on another thread about handling this situation in a different way, making several things happen.

One, you could have more than one pistol, equipped and ready to fire with a hotkey.

Two, you could have several blades equipped - one being a knife that you might use in a different situation from acutal full on combat... (also changing the knife properties a bit)

Three, in the case of the above, you'd need three or four separate scrolls to the inventory - one, Equipped blades or blades you intend to keep - two, equipped pistols and those you wish to keep - three, OTHER items you wish to keep (such as lucky rings, and other `ability-enhancing` things) - four, all items that fall into the default "just aquired" section - these are the things you pick up in chests or off of the dead - and you can switch these items from one section to any of the others, and the ones left behind are "`sell-all`" items that can be dispensed with using one click on a button instead of the way it is now.

the forum search feature isn't exactly helpful, is it... sometimes, just to test it, i make a post and immediately do a search for it, and it tells me it can't find it <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

We probably should make one condensed thread just on a new inv system.
