Ok guys got some new swashbuckler screenys for you all. Im not sure about tomorrows AOP shots but these should hold you all over until i can get to it, im pretty sure swashbucklers is a PS2 game if anyone is wondering.

Can someone do me a favor, I cannot get the main screen to come up, can somsone press the "Read More" link on the story and give me the url that the link goes to,

alternativle right click on the read more link and "copy shortcut" and paste here

Not on PC !! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock:" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" /> - not for me then - what a waste of an interesting looking game. Have the devs confirmed no PC version??
 
Well, it may goto PC but thats a big may, i think they will release it and see the impact it has on the console first.

AOP is the big PC title so i think they are concentrating on that...

Plus dont forget Captain Blood is a PC title aswell
 
Actually, PC version is planned. The engine (RenderWare) is very good for multiplatform development, and Swashbucklers will be on PC, most probably.
But we do the game "the console way", and the PS2 is our main priority.

And by the way, Keith, there's a mistake in the news. We didn't won the "Best Console Game" award at KRI.
 
Personaly i think RenderWare engines sux(cuz i've got a few games that use it and they are UGLY!!!! like the death). But if you say so then GO! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
 
A quick question..

What time period is this supposed to be...or is it completely fictional?

Just wondering as the character in some of the screenshots looks like he belongs in the Old West instead of on a pirate ship.Just does not look right to me.

This is certainly one _heck_ of a surprise, though, I must say. Wonder what made 'em switch eras? (unless they meant this all along and I was just confused...)
 
Whatever happend Swashbucklers? Did it get pushed back big time or did they pull the plug on it?

I already have potential mods running around my head for this game Lol.
 
just pushed back into the shadows a bit while the releases of corsairs & aop take centre stage, its still Q2 2006 afaik
 
nothing happened to Swashbucklers, it's still Q2 2006.

and I kinda doubt you will be able to mod a PlayStation2 game...

Hopefully it will see the PC, nothing like adding some custom Civil war music such as Bonny Blue flag to get you going lol.
